I live in California and recently flipped my car, will it count as a point on my DMV Record?

My vehicle veered off the roadway completely on its own into a dirt shoulder(took me totally by surprise.) I was trying to slow down before i got back onto the roadway but saw i was heading for a telephone pole and turned the wheel towards the roadway trying to avoid the pole.(pole was about 50ft away Speed was 40-45MPH) I avoided the pole but slid across the road sideways before hitting a ditch and flipping over.

I already know that the insurance will go up but my question is will the DMV put a point on my driving record if there were no other cars involved???

only if you got a ticket
