I met my boyfriend online, and I'm going to see him or he will come to Canada from the US to see me for the first time. What would he say or I say to the customs? We don't want them to not let us see each other.

  1. no she means the customs

  2. A US citizen can visit Canada as a tourist.  He would have to say where he is going in Canada (visiting friends), say how long he intends to stay, and show that he has enough money to support himself while he is in Canada.  He would need to be 18 to cross the border alone.  He will need his birth certificate and a government issued photo ID such as a driver's license if he is driving.  If he is flying, he needs a passport.

  3. Just say you're going to see family.-EDIT-  If you are less than 18 years of age you will need written permission, signed by both parents and notarized.Other then that, you're fine!

  4. mhm.. well customs in the states and canada as far as i have noticed arent really different. Obviously there should be a good amount of respect and behaviour when meeting family. Though would you say your parents are too strict and expect excellent behaviour, or are they more layed back and as long as he is a decent guy its cool?¿ maybe you should give him a heads up as to what your parents disapprove of like smoking in the house, or certain type of conversation topics you know??
