Hopstop.com gives you directions to get around by walking, driving, riding the bus and train. It's great. All you need is the exact address.

I don't know the number you could probably google it but there's an 800 number the cta has where you can tell an operator where you are and where you want ot go and they will explain all the busses you need to take and transfers or train or whatever.

Use the Chicago Transit Authority's Trip Planner feature. Type in where you're starting and where you're going and it will tell you several ways to get there on the bus or train.
