I LIVE IN COSTA RICA and I,am 69 yoa , I,am married to a costa rican lady and have been for 12 years she is not a american citizen.

I came down here to work and wanted to bring my daughter with me to attend a private school, her mother wanted nothing to with that, which I can understand being another country and all , but anyway I tried, child support said ok you will pay half of your retirment from the state that you are from . which I did untill she turned 19 , the state said you didn,t pay enough ,so you now must pay the mother arrears at $954.00 per month out of my social security, also when I went to renew my u.s passport at the the u.s embassy they said since I owe more that $2,500 in back child support that they can,t renew my passport, they said they could send me back to u.s but I can,t return since I don,t have a passport, I said what about my wife ? what about my medicare? how do I travel to u.s I,am at a loss what to do my daughter and I still comunicate with lov

  1. effectively you are in trouble, that is what happens with back child support, and nothing will be done, until you pay that back child support,

    i imagine you should do the right thing whatever you think ,you are right or not in your eyes,

    do as you must, in order to get back within the law;

  2. Yes...now you have to pay what you ow in child support. You thought that if you went to Costa Rica you would get away with it. You reap what you sow.

  3. you're in some very deep DO DOOOO

  4. pay what you..its obvious

  5. It is your problem. You need to take it more responsibility. It is not fair for anyone whose on the child support payroll, who pay very little or nothing to what amount of the judge asks of and get away with for a while, while other parent has to deal with it and it is an insult for the American justice on dead beat dads or dead beat moms to ignore what's most important thing by to make the example for the children, whether has a close relationship or not with, to respect the child support law and do of what its ask of you.

  6. Like the old saying " What you do to others will come back to you" Be a man and pay what you owe.
