  1. why does it say i left my girl in the car and i left him in the car? is it your son or daughter?

  2. This isnt the answer you are looking for. You think you are under alot of stress imagine the stress you would have felt if someone had kidnapped your child or if the toddler had pulled the car out of gear. The situation could have been alot worse than you being fined. Im sorry you were jailed and fined but child endangerment is serious the world is full of perverts and sick people.

  3. There is never any excuse for leaving a 3 year old alone in the car.  The passerby did exactly what I would have done (and I'm sure it took longer than "5 minutes" for the police to arrive.).  Unfortunately, you will probably get off with probation but child welfare services were most likely contacted and will open a case file for follow-up.

  4. "i left him in the car for five minutes",theres admisiion of guilt to start with, not to mention it only takes a few seconds to remove a child from a car and drive away with them.you are getting off lightly, they should have taken your child and turned it over to child protective services.the remedies available to you are one, quit whining and hire a lawyer, two, grow up and be responsible for the life of your child.you get NO sympathy here, you leave a child in a car, unattended ,in freakin texas ,mid summer, some people dont deserve children.

  5. I am a Staff Sgt. for The Grand Forks Police Department. You should be afraid. This is a very serious offense. These laws are highly enforced because the children can't defend themselves, so we have to! There is no attorney in the world that will get you out of this one. Abandonment, Sexual contact with a minor, Sexual intent with a minor, Malicious intent to harm a child, Ext. All fall under the same category in the eyes of the court...Willful Abuse and Neglect of a Child!!! Even if your attorney gets you off on probation, then it's time for the Child Protection Agency to open a case against you. If they find you to be a fit parent, and allow your child to remain living with you, then you can expect YEARS and YEARS of  visits from them! They will need to know the name of the childcare provider so they can contact them! The case will be sent to the school that you enroll your child in, and it will be kept on file until that child is 18! The school and childcare provider are obligated to call the agency every time they find so much as a bruise on your child, or if your child tells anyone about a fight between you and your spouse! The agency has the right to question your child in daycare, or school without your concent! If the agency feels that the child is in an unstable home, then they have the right to remove the child from your care! They are have the right to take the child from daycare, or school without contacting you first! If they do remove your child from your home for a second offence of child abuse, then the state has legal custody of your child! You will have to fight them in court for legal guardianship, because with a second offence you automatically waver all rights to legal custody! This means the state has a say so in how the child is raised! If you are convicted of the same offence as the first (Abanddonment), then your child is automatically put in a foster home, then the foster parent has the legal right to adopt your child as they're own! A family member is not allowed custody of your child! If this happens, then the foster parent is, by law, obligated to file a restraining order against you! Yes Indeed, it IS a very serious offense. The courts look down on a child abuser much more viciously then they do murderers! No pity from me as well!!!

  6. Yep, go to court on the date you were assigned.

  7. I think you are an Indian, because here it is not an offense..
