The child's mother has agreed to do so but we just don't know where and how to do it. Any in-sight will be helpful.

  1. I would say you would have to go to a legal professional to see about getting the papers drawn up for you. Do me a favor, though, make sure you think it through long and hard because my ex-boyfriend signed away rights to our son and he regrets it every day now. ....... just think about it.

  2. I would talk with a lawyer as I know in wisconsin you cannot do this unless there is another father right there ready and found qualified to adopt the child. The main reasons being...every child deserves 2 parents, plus if the mother needs to get assistance from the state (welfare, food stamps, medical assistance, daycare assistance, heating help) then the state needs a father to go get child support from to help cover these costs.

  3. A family attorney can draw up the papers.
