I live in Edmonton, Alberta. I'm looking for someplace really nice to go travel to thats not too far.?

I like nature, camping, hiking etc and I would be really excited to find out about some new spots in the Rockies that won't be like a stomped on ant hill this weekend

What about the Royal Drumheller Museum?  A fantastic trip, especially if you've got kids.  Avoid the Creation "Museum" though, they're just crazy.

Head south on #2 to Red Deer then west on Hwy#11 past Rocky Mountain House thru the Siffluer Wlderness area to Columbia Icefields.  That route is almost free of tourists and Lake Abraham is truly amazing sight,  

The head north to Jasper on 93 and back to Edmonton on Hwy#16.

Well I'm going to Alberta sometimes next year - And heard good things about Banff, Lake Louise, Calgary - and Jasper is susposibly really good its closer to Edmonton... <3
