I have tried catching them with many suggestions that I got on this site, to wit: anchovies and red lures, but nothing whatsoever works. It was also recommened that I try Salmon egg sacks (but they are not sold around this area). No matter what I dangle in front of them, the school swims right by it, completely ignoring it---and it's a big school. It's getting really frustrating. Does anyone have any other suggestions as to how to get these Salmon hooked? If anyone can come up with a way to catch these things, please let me know----before the school---and a potential diinner----swims away for good. As an aside, I'm not interested in foul hooking them---would be too easy.

  1. i was just in mass. and i was catching them left and right. you should try a fly fishing technique or a colorful top water lure. i also threw corn in the river which was really effective, it got them excited and then i put some corn on my line and i had about 6 salmon chasing my hook and they almost jumped right onto land, infact one of them did! and if even this doesnt work just fish them as if you were fishing trout.

  2. have you tried DYNAMITE? It works real good

  3. maybe a net? if to easy, a much smaller net.

  4. You need to but some minnows and try that. Or alewifes, but they die really quickly. Almost all fish bite on minnows.

  5. go get you self a 12ft cast net and learn how to throw it but 12ft cast nets are pricey if you got the money get one other then that try fly fishing  hope that helps

  6. Throw a cartoon of milk into the lake. It kills the oxygen in the water so the fish can't breathe. Then they float to the top and you rope them in.

    Tried and tested.

  7. try spear-fishing
