They are roughly the size of a housefly, but more narrow, brown, with irridescent wings that tuck in more on top of its body(hug), oh and they are very aggressive(They like to divebomb people, food, whatever-and they aren't easily shooed). I've seen a couple of them in the breakroom at work and I just noticed that there are swarms of them by the lights in the parking lot. The ones by the streetlights look like baby versions of the others. They seemed like an infestation at night, and this morning my car was covered with probably 200 of these lil creatures stuck to the dew...It's hard to find sources for identification on the internet...

  1. Wow - how interesting.  I bet this is an anomalous infestation.  I bet they're a species which lives out in the woods, but the republicans are out there building things - and perhaps the creatures' food sources are gone - so they moved into town.

If they're very aggressive they probably won't last long.  One thing I've noticed is that town bugs are so much less aggressive than country bugs.  Aggressive bugs are soon noticed by people who figure out a way to murder them.

You might kill one of these things and take to the entomology dept of your nearest university and see what the dickens it is.  Could be they're invaders from outer space too!!
