Question:

I live in NC I can not seem to get my swimming pool clear it is always green?

I have the proper ph,I have shocked it so much,I also used algecide 20%,& clarifier.What am I doing wrong?If I get the green to go away, then it is still cloudy,and the green keeps coming back.

  1. you could try changing the water, and then make sure you clean it everyday and put chlorine in it as well.


  2. what's your Alkalinity level and hardness level?  What type of pool do you have?  Surface? size?  What are your levels?  What kind of chlorine are you using and how old is it?  What's your cyunaric level at?  Have you tried removing the "nitrates" yet?  Use Yellow out or some similar product to remove them since they are a building block for aglae.  Your CYA level is most likely low and each day our nice NC sun comes out, there goes your free chlorine up into the air.  Where in NC are you?  Whatever you do don't drain your pool like the other said to do.  He has no idea what he's doing or saying.  Too bad you can't sue for bad advice and extra expense because of it.
