My sister came to visit me for my bridal shower and while she stayed here we went to our local pizza place. She fell in love with it and said she can't get good NY pizza in Texas.

I wanted to send her a thank you for her help with the shower and for spending time with us.

How do I ship pizza's across the states?

Thank you :)

  1. This is a little out of my area, but I do deal with shipping live salt water livestock and believe that the same basic method would work fine. I have also ordered dry aged steaks that are sent to me this way.

What you do is use a use thick Styrofoam cooler lined box (Fed Ex or DHL overnight) bubble wrap, and Styrofoam peanuts. You freeze and wrap (press’n seal or similar) the pizzas and then put cool packs (dry ice) in with them. The cost is usually about $30-40 plus the box is another 5-10 more. I should suggest shipping more like 5 due to the cost to ship.

Do not forget to label the box with something like 'Fragile - Handle With Care',  'Perishable', 'Protect from Heat and Cold', and 'This Side Up' very clearly. Not that they will really treat it that much differently, but at least it makes it easier to complain if it is damaged in shipping.

  2. There are actually pizza places in NY that will ship pizzas. I forget the names but you will want to check out the food network website. Also you might want to just do a search on yahoo. I found one place...http://www.iwantnypizza.com/aboutus.html

    best of luck!

  3. Post office? Or courier.dont forget to bear in mind how long it would take to arrive, you dont want them going mouldy
