  1. you can feel free to put nothing on the front windows and whatever you want on the rears....

  2. 0% tint allowed on the front. Former DOD Police from NJ.

  3. The front window (windshield) and front side windows (door windows) cannot be tinted at all.

    The rear window may be tinted only if the car has two outside rear view mirrors (usually on both front doors).

    The rear side windows may be tinted.

    Under no circumstances can any tint be dark enough to be reflective.

    NJS 39:3-75

    The vehicle will not pass inspection with tinted windows. If your car has a valid inspection sticker we will know that you added the tint after you went to inspection. In that case, in addition to the summons for the tinted windows, you will also get a summons for "Altering approved equipment". NJS 39:4-47
