I live in NV and bought a car in CA from a private seller...?

I will fly out there to pick up the car. Will the DMV in NV allow me to temporarily register the car so I can drive it back home from California? I heard that a person should NOT drive an unregistered vehicle. Any suggestions on what should I do with the registration and insurance? Thanks

No, instead you get a temp registration from Cali to drive it back to NV.

You still have to get insurance.

Once you have picked up your car form the seller go to the DMV in California or the AAA in CA. Once there ask for a DAY PASS to drive the car from CA to NV. Once in NV you can go to the DMV there and have the registration and title transferred to your name.
