I live in NV and bought a car in CA from a private seller...?

I will fly out there to pick up the car. Will the DMV in NV allow me to temporarily register the car so I can drive it back home from California? I heard that a person should NOT drive an unregistered vehicle. Any suggestions on what should I do with the registration and insurance? Thanks

No, instead you get a temp registration from Cali to drive it back to NV.

You still have to get insurance.

    good  Luck...

  2. I suggest you contact the Nevada Department of Transportation, 1263 South Stewart St., Carton City, NV 89712, phone 775-888-7000.

  3. Once you have picked up your car form the seller go to the DMV in California or the AAA in CA. Once there ask for a DAY PASS to drive the car from CA to NV. Once in NV you can go to the DMV there and have the registration and title transferred to your name.
