I live in New Mexico and i want to get my passport ASAP to go to Mexico but how long would it take to get it??

I just applied for mine last week. They said it would be here in less than 10 days. There was a $60 fee for expediting, and $14. 85 fee for the over nighting it back to me. You can go to a clerk of court to apply, make sure you take a valid id and birth certificate, Good luck and enjoy the trip! I'm leaving this week and I can't wait!

about 4 weeks.some times they can do it in little as 2 weeks. didn't take  long to get mine.

Standardprocessing time right now is 4 weeks or a bit less. Expedited processing costs $60.00 plus express mal charges and gets it to you in 2 to 3 weeks. If you live near enough one of the 13 regional passport agencies and can show you need to travel in 2 weeks or less, you can call for an app't, go, wait and get passport same day for no extra fee.  See 1st site below fro list of tose.  See 2nd site for all application info and to print out the forms.  Now...you do NOT need a passport to travel to Mexico by LAND until JUNE 1, 2009.  Right now you need  photo I.D. And proof of citizenship...birth certificate.  You only need a passport to FLY to Mexico right now.  See 3rd site below.
