  1. No you can't.

If for some reason though, you beleive strongly that the mom is using the money for her own personal use then you need to see a lawyer.  She would have to be pretty shallow to be doing that though!!!!

    Good luck.

  2. Well if you are still paying then she is a minor, right? In this case the care is technically being given by her gaurdian and you are basically reimbursing that person, so ... no you cannot pay your daughter. If this is a back-pay issue then again you are reimbursing the person who provided her care for the years ou did not support her. I know alot of fathers can get ripped off, but I have a ten year old daughter and the deadbeat has been ordered to pay a whopping $186 per month and it never comes anyway. It all goes by how much you earn (stupid) as opposed to how much a child needs like it should be.

  3. Hi,I also pay child support for my two children and i have asked child support if i could pay directly to my daughter and son..but they told me that i couldnt..they said to me that it varies from state to state..but they didnt specify which states..So if you would like...you could give them a call to speak with them.Im not sure how it all works..because they keep changing. the way things were to something new...hope i helped a little...have a nice day

  4. Generally this is not the practice.

  5. No, think about this.  Your X needs that money to take care of her. Such as put a roof over her head, food in her mouth, and clothes on her back. If you gave it directly to your child who knows what the money will be spent on. That's why we have this law.

  6. Once your daughter is 18 (or 19 or 21) depends onlocal laws

then she is not necessarily a dependent. Whatever, once she is an "adult" is changes (or can change) everything. Your X doesn't get support for ever. You are entitled to expect both your X and your daughter to be (or try to be) independent) - it still gets decided case by case and according to your agreements or court orders. It's ugly all round  - bureau BS is never easy and X BS is even harder

To the person that said a child should get what they need not what can be paid according to income - well shouldn't we all , I mean minimum wage in this country is still at a dark age level - if you don't have it you can''t give it
