It is a brown, sort of hairy spider about 2-3" including legs and builds a new web every night. It builds the web in the same spot every night and we discovered it crouched under a roof tile sort of hidden during the day. Not far from where it builds the web is a quarter-sized, yellow fuzzy webbing, which I'm assuming is an egg sack. I'm generally a live and let live sort of person and have lived in FL my whole life and have never been bitten by a spider, however I do have 3 kids 10mos-7yrs and don't want any "accidents". Do I need to worry? I've Googled everything I can think of and can't seem to find a picture of it - I'm pretty sure it's not a recluse or a widow or a house spider. Any thoughts or info would be appreciated!

  1. It sounds like an Orb Weaver. They come in a lot of different colours, and are quite shy and not dangerous to humans.

I tried to add links to a couple of pictures, but it's not allowing me to do so, but if you google 'orb weaver' you'll be able to check if that's what it is.

    Hope that helps.

  2. Could be a  wolf spider. I've seen a big brown one like than in my friend's sink and her mom said it's a wolf spider. They aren't lethal.I'm not quite sure about this info but I hope this helps.
