I live in Sri lanka and want 2 relocate to NZ either work visa/Permanent residency, any one could help me

in finding out the companies which are willing to offer me a jod offer letter which is necessary to travel NZ,

and can i convert vistor visa to a work visa if i land over there. basically i am for IT back ground and have

huge experience.kindly people for india/srilanka who are living in NZ do mail me i wud realy like to be in touch

with u for future advise, thats were the most counts for me.

If you go to http://www.immigration.govt.nz you can get all the correct information you need to know re visas.

The best places to look at jobs and make contact with prospective employers would be at http://www.seek.co.nz or http://www.trademe.co.nz.Both have good sized recruitment sections, so you can see what jobs are on offer and what is required etc.

I work in this area (immigration) here in NZ

email your cv and some extra details through my profile and I'll provide some specific advice. There is a shortage of qualified IT people here. You can convert a visitor visa to a work/residency visa but you can't work until you have the right visa. You are allowed to look for work. We may be able to help you get a job without having to come here. Contact me please.

I have just goen through the visa system  this week!

Its very hard to get a visa unless your work is on the job shortage list.Check out the govt.co.nz as already mentioned above.

My husband is on the shortage list as a carpenter but that doesnt mean we can stay here for ever and get residency.Its all actualy very hard.See if you are  on the shortage list  or maybe  see if you can apply to work for a company that will sponsor you?? good luck
