I live in St.John parish what would be the best route to go when trying to evacuate?

I will be following my boyfriend in my car (both of which are fairly old). Should we go to north Louisiana or somewhere else? Really not looking forward to contraflow traffic

Best is to go somewhere outside the area that will feel the affects of the storm.  For example, Memphis and Little Rock are unlikely to get more than rain, and may not even get that.
