I would really love to experience working in Ireland, I was wondering if there are any resources I can use to get there? and what is involved in how to get a job in Ireland. I know I would need to get a Visa. I was wondering if anyone could help, any help and info will help! thanks! :)

  1. Most of the hospitality jobs are now taken by employees from Eastern Europe, because they will accept the peanuts paid by hoteliers and other hospitality employers. Don't expect a real salary when you're here.

  2. if you're under 35yrs old, then you can get a working holiday visa for a year to work in ireland. Have a look at swap like the prev person said. They do all the application for you (you have to pay unfortunately) and you'd have it in a few weeks.

as for getting a job when you get here, most jobs are in Dublin but this is also the most expensive city to live in. Other places are Galway and Cork where im sure theres plenty jobs.

Have a look at these job sites.

    irishjobs.ie

    recruitireland.ie

    monster.ie

  3. Call the Irish Consulate in Toronto 416-366-9300 to get info on working visas for Ireland.

Do you by any chance have an EU Passport? If you do then this entitles you to work anywhere in the EU without a work visa and there is no restriction on length of time you can stay. Even if one of your parents were born in the EU you can often still get an EU passport for yourself.

  4. Go to http://www.allthingsshannon.com and look at the Visa information and the links there are too a lot of recruiters

  5. You could try it out with a working holiday visa first to see if you like it. We have a special agreement with Canada for those kinds of visas they're easy to get .
