It is a Willamina and it is taller than our house. Every so often we lose free view signal on certain channels eg. itv and channel 4. It is very annoying and sometimes does not come back for weeks. It happens even when it is nice outside. Could our tree really be the problem?

For all those who answer i thank you! :)

  1. No, the tree could not be the problem. Radio frequency waves can go through the tree. It could be some far away clouds blocking the path of the signal wave.

  2. I should not think so.

Up until severa months ago, I possessed a Freeview Box attached to an outides aerial and there are no trees within 20 ft.  Like yourself, I too continuously lost  particular channels at w/ends. and for several weeks at a time.

Its my hunch that the channel providers are deliberately causing flucuations to Freeview Service to wean us off it. Thus encouraging us to purchase non-Freeview services. Then they will fade it out completely.

Either way this excersize is going to cost us viewers a great deal of unnecessry expense.

Personally I switched the thing off, disconnected my TV from receiving televised programmes
