  1. A passport to cross the border for one. If you plan on shopping, change your money. It slows things down when you have to figure out the exchange rate every time you buy something.

  2. actually if you are travelling by car, you only need a picture ID..A passport is not required. I just went so I am positive.

  3. Last time we took a Canada trip we had to have birth certificates for everyone and/or pass ports and/or State ID's

  4. Stacie's answer is great - its a different story when coming across the border with your child.  Passports are the best way.  I wouldn't worry about exchanging your $.  The exchange rate is almost par, so it won't matter to a store or you either way at this point.

  5. I live in Canada, my dad's a trucker, so I do this a lot.

Passport (not just photo I.D. if you're bringing your kid.)

You daughter will need her birth certificate and

(very important!!!) signed consent from the other parent

    (whether you're together or split)

It would be a very good idea to bring documents

of where you're going to be staying.

    Makes things easier.

Exchange your money into Canadian dollars

in the U.S. at your local bank.

Don't wait till the last moment in Canada.

    And bring a hoody/sweater.

The weather is unpredictable.  At least where I live ...

  6. you need a passport, canadian money, and winter clothes.stacies answer  pretty much sums it all up.
