One of the hottest months in the year, and my AC is shot and I don't have the money to fix it. I was looking around at some portables, but everyone I have seen includes a hose. I can't run a hose because the condo association forbids it due to the fact that it changes the "structure" of the building. I heard they sell ones where you have to drain the pan yourself but I cannot find any myself online or otherwise. Does anyone know of any portable AC units without the need to run a hose out the window? Thanks. You will be saving me from heat exhaustion.

  1. The A/C unit linked below has two methods of emptying:  removable water tank or continuous drainage.  I hope that helps.

  2. A/C with hose out the window? I've never seen that, the ones I've seen and owned all had regular old outlets inside your place.... I think you're refering to the older ones. Newer ones today require little to no maintance and no hoses, just plug that bad boy in and you're good to go.

Go to Sears... they have pretty good deals on A/C's.

  3. Sharper Image makes a really nice one, I was just checking it out yesterday at a party.
