I live in a mobile home (it is 8 years old) and I bought a front loading washing machine. When it goes into spin cycle it makes my house shake. Should I be worried about that?

  2. What is your question?

  3. what? hate it? I live in one too.

  4. and you what, the question isnt finished

  5. Mobile homes are always more susceptible to vibrations than a house on a solid foundation.  Mobile homes are usually set on concrete blocks to support and stabilize them. If the whole house shakes when the washer goes into spin cycle, chances are there are not enough support blocks, the blocks were not set correctly when the house was set-up, or the blocks have settled, leaving the house poorly supported.  Check with a mobile home company and have them inspect the supports to make sure they are doing their job.

  6. Worried about it why? You mean will it shake the house so much that it falls over? I doubt it. Is it shaking so much that things fall off shelves? Worried about it affecting the washer? Ask whoever you bought it from. My top-loader makes the house shake a bit but it did so in my last house too which was a very solidly built conventional house with the washer on the second floor. I'm glad you asked, though, as an appliance repair guy told me that unless a front-loader was on a concrete floor it would shake the house a lot, so since I'm in a mobile too, I don't think I'll be getting a front loader.

  7. Yeah... I have no idea what she's trying to ask. Free 2 points? o.O

  8. It sounds like first you need to relevel your washing machine.  If it's level, there should be almost no shaking at all.  Then you can have someone check the supports under the floor.  Some of them may need a little readjustment.
