I live in a place where there are very cold winters. What's the weather like in Nevada in Jan/Mar/Feb ??

I might go there this winter.

What's the weather like in Vegas and the rest of Nevada in the first few months of the year?

Compared to much of the country, its very nice. The Average day in Jan/Feb is probably 55-60, with alot of sunshine. It can get VERY cold at night though, and even after sunset. So you still have to bring winter clothing if you are hitting the strip at night. But during the day you may be able to wear spring type clothing. You just have to check the weather beforehand. It could be 35 with snow, or 70 and sunny.

March starts to warm up. Many days will hit the 70s and even 80s.

Well southern Nevada weather is different than norther Nevada. Since you are from Canada I can assure you it will be like fall here to you. You will be walking around in a light jacket or sweater when the locals will have heavy coats on. You will get a kick out of it. I know I did. No snow and no road ice. I know that is what you deal with most of the year up there. I know because my girlfriend is from there.

In January and February it can get cold.  Lows are in the 20's or 30's and with little humidity, that actually feels cold!  During the day it's in the 50's usually. I'm from Wisconsin and I know 30 in Wisconsin isn't too bad, but here it feels cold.  I always tell my friends/family the temperature here feels 10 degrees colder than it actually is because of the lack of humidity.

In March it starts to warm up a bit and you may hit the 60's during the day.

Remember, whatever the temp is, it gets crazy windy in las vegas, if that's where you're going. It does feel a bit colder. I'm from NY and I was surprised at cold the winters get in Las Vegas.

Northern Nevada does get very cold, and lots of snow, in the mountains. (Tahoe anyone??? can't ski without the snow!)
