  1. I suggest selling it on Craigslist.com

  2. first find out from your landlord if you can have one in front of the building (if you're on a busy road it's even better anyway) then post a flyer to the other occupants that you will be having a rummage on whatever day, and if they'd care to join you out there to sell their stuff they can. make it a big rummage to draw more people to it! go to the party store and get some of those flag banners to hang up to draw more attention to your sale, and some white shoe polish to write on your car windows if you park them on the corners and use as signs.

  3. What about asking friends if you can do it with them?  Like if they have houses or yards, do it together and use their yard or driveways, and you and your friend do the tag sale/garage sale together.  It will get rid of your things, your friend will get rid of some things and you'll have fun doing it!

    OR

There are places where you can pay like $20 and buy a space and go and sell your things.  They have a flea market and you become a vendor.  If you're willing to drag your things there, you can bring a table or two, set your things up and sell there.  Places like that you may make more money because at a big flea market like that, it's advertised and more people show up.  They spend their day tag saling and they go around looking for things like this.  You may spend the twenty dollars renting the space, but you'll make much more back with the things that you sell!  Check you local paper and Pennysaver for things that say Vendors Wanted and see if you can rent a space there and sell your items there.

If not, I would just go and ask a friend or relative if they're willing to go in on a sale with you.  Tell them that you're wanting to do a tag sale, but you don't have anywhere to hold the actual sale and you were wondering if this was something they would be interested in doing and if it can be done at their house or yard.  You can advertise in your local Pennysaver which brings in a LOT of customers, make sure to e-mail everyone you know and hang TONS of signs, and have them tell everyone they know and e-mail everyone they know, word of mouth brings in a LOT of people!

After the sale, you can gather your things and donate whatever doesn't sale.  My mother and I did that last.  We paid for a truck to come because NO one in our area came to pick up and it was too much for us to drop up.  You can bring things for donation or have someone come and get it and donate the things to charity. at least you know what you're getting rid of will NOT come back into your apartment which is one of the main points of clearing things out!  And if something doesn't sell, donating it to someone who may need it is much better than putting it out to trash.

Good luck and I hope this helps!

  4. I created a site at http://salenook.com where you can list everything you have for free (as well as pictures) and direct people to your apartment on a day you would like to sell your stuff.   You could also have an ongoing sale selling items as people contact you.  The site is new so I would suggest linking your sale to a craigslist listing, so those interested in one of your items can see the rest of what you have to offer.

    Good Luck!

  5. Have a "Virtual Sale" at http://www.yardhopper.com

  6. Have a garage sale in the parking lot of your apartment. Post signs for it by the mailboxes in the complex. You would be suprised how many people will show up. Not to your actual apartment though. Set up a table that takes up a couple parking spots and sell from there.
