  1. No - they are protected.

However, you can become a wildlife volunteer and look after injured animals such as Joey's or Koalas, but you must meet certain criteria such as http://www.wildcare.org.au/html/carers01...  or search in your area online for 'wildlife volunteer rescue teams'

  2. I dont think so. think you need a special permit.

  3. no you may not, they are protected.

in fact it is illegal to even touch them unless your at a wildlife park

  4. No, they are protected.

  5. yes you're allowed to have one as long as its under 50 pounds . it eats gum so watch out for your hubba bubba chewing gum. and be careful they bite other than that they're a cute animal

  6. Yes I have 7 myself. All toilet trained & perform neat tricks. I taught one to cluck like a chicken. And one of them even paints pictures (I am selling his artwork on eBay).

You should totally get one of your own...

  7. I have a friend of mine who is an Aussie and found a koala in her backyard, she had it for quite a while as it was a baby and needed to be cared for. It is not against the law however they are wild animals, and having them indoors when they don't need to be is not right to do to them no matter how badly ya wanna cuddle the cutie pies.

  8. Definetly not! Koalas are a protected species and no matter how much you want one I'm afraid that by law you will not be allowed to have one. Even though I'm sure your intentions are good without the ban on koalas as pets they would be easily harmed. May I suggest you become a volunteer wildlife carer you could help to raise baby koalas that have had their mothers hit by cars or attacked by dogs

  9. No, unless you look after injured koalas. It is against the law to own a Koala, and you must be a wildlife person to do so.

  10. You live there and ask this?, you should know that thye are protected

  11. I hope not! They really require alot of maintenance and special care.

  12. yes good . koala at canberra

  13. No! of course your can't have a koala as a pet because it is native to australia and is protected from being stuck in peoples homes so unless you start a animal centre or somthing no you can not have a koala (coming from aan Australian)

  14. No you cannot have a pet koala in Australia. They are a protected species and when taken from their natural habitat can get quite sick. They can also be quite aggressive as well
