I live in australia and want to volunteer overseas but have no cash?

are there any volunteer organizations that pay your airfare/costs based in australia. Im a uni student and desperately want to do some volunteer work but have no money

  1. Unfortunately, unless you are training to be a doctor, vet, or engineer and are close to finishing, its unlikely you'll find a way to volunteer overseas where the organisation will pay for your airfares... they usually don't have enough money to spare to bring over "unskilled" workers.  

    You could join the army as a medic, or the red cross or similar, but they would have to train you up before you can be deployed.  Or you could try to apply for jobs with charities like world vision, but generally they try to hire host country nationals, so places are tight.  

    You could always do volunteer work in Australia...
