do you live in northern california? you should be fine if you live in so-cal...I live here and go to the beach all the time and I'm good in a wetsuit when it's sunny during the day. Just look out for the news when it's around 70-80 degrees and sunny.

wetsuits definitely works and plus if ur constantly moving u shouldnt be too bad

These people have got it all wrong.  A wetsuit will DEFINITELY NOT  work.  It's all floppy... you need something stiff...  I recommend just using the skimboard.  Oh, and dress warmly... that water is COLD in the wintertime!

yea i still waterski and i live in the uk! try a drysuit or a steamer wetsuit (wetsuit but dont let much water in)

I live in Ontario, Canada. It's currently well below freezing out and I'll be diving on a wreck this weekend in a 7mm wet suit. I think you'll be fine. Wetsuit gloves and a hood  might be an idea if you are prone to chills.
