Ownership went to lender. I called the lender and foreclosure company before 7/22/08 and said I would not be completely moved out by that date, that I wouldn't live there but I would have to come back and get a lot of my stuff. On 7/28/08 when I returned to get my stuff, the realtor had already changed the locks with NO notice, she said she thought it was vacant eventhough CLEARLY it was NOT! The lender won't speak to me and said I can only talk to the realtor, who insist she had the right to change them. Is that legal?

  1. Yes this is legal.    YOU did the f(&(7ing here, not them.

Your stuff was probuly trashed out.    You were given notice, calling and saying that you were refusing to leave did not matter, you had no choice.

  2. You lost possession of the house when the auctioneer said "sold".  It became someone else's property and you had no legal right to enter.  The lender does not care that you were unable to remove your belongings prior to the sale.
