  1. yeah att only has free in the us so get a 5 dollar calling car and u can talk with canada for like 3 cents a minute instead of the 75 cents a minute on ur cell phone

  2. I live near Seattle, and we're with Comcast, and all our calls to Canada are free.

  3. If you don't have a long distance plan I would think you would be charged.

  4. Unless your phone plan offers Long Distance to Canada, then it will definitely be a long distance call.

If you call long distance alot, and you have access to a computer with high speed internet.  you might want to consider getting a MagicJack.  http://www.magicjack.com.  It costs $20/year and allows unlimited calling to any Canada or US Number.  If you search here for Answers, you will see that many people have asked about it.  I have 2 and am very happy.

  5. My cell phone plan AT&T charges 19 cents per minute, but a landline that includes Canada long-distance may be way less than that.

  6. It is long distance, BUT

Even if you have a long distance plan it may not cover Canada.
