I live in dearborn heights mich 48127 i have a few american flags and i need to get rid of them where?

do i take them to have them properly taken care of?

old american flags can be burnt in the privacy of your own home, or they can be buried according to something I read in the newspaper here in Indiana several years ago

my mom puts them in a box until she has several of them and then burns them

Here is the website with the phone number for your local boy scout troop.  Call them and see if they are interested in your flags for one of their flag retirement ceremonies.

I hear they're VERY patriotic there and would be PROUD to hoist the nation's colors.
