The fence my neighbor built is a real eyesore and he also has posted 7 no trespassing signs on the fence. This is the first thing i see when i look out into my mountain property, it feels like harrassment. He also has built a dirt road behind my house which he drives on daily. I do not know if the fence should be set back from the property line a few feet, or if he needed a permit . The last and final question I have is if he chopped down my trees could I take him to court and sue for the survey as well as the trees?

  1. You need to contact a licensed professional land surveyor with experience and knowledge of your area. He can verify your property line location and let you know what your rights are under your local laws.

  2. There might be a setback ordinance & yes you can sue him for chopping down your trees
