  1. Just head south on the A38 to Bristol, you need not use the M5 at all. In the stop / start traffic you could use more than £15 worth of fuel, plus parking fees. So, the choice is yours. In a car, you are in charge of your own destiny, and time- table. By train, you are at the mercy of every 'window l****r' on board lol.

  2. Well depends on time of day really ....should it be peak hours then the train wins hands down however of peak go for the car ....also how important is the journey to be on time ...trains can be somewhat unreliable these days

  3. Get the train and save yourself the boredom of sitting in traffic jams, and paying for expensive parking

  4. Much better to get the train. The motorway back from Bristol to Gloucester is badly signposted. If you miss your turn you'll end up going over the severn bridge into Wales. Believe me it's the scenic route.

  5. From Gloucester you should use relatively little petrol as it's all motorway. In a standard vehicle (VW Golf) you should expect 50 MPG so petrol will be around £7.50 return.

I favor the car. It's cheaper and you don't need to worry about transfers from the train stations. Parking in Bristol won't cost more than £3 out of office hours (so long as you avoid the numerous NCP car parks).

  6. get train traffics bad in brizzle
