I live in ireland, my boyfriend in spain. any ideas on cheap international calls?

He doesnt have his own computer so skype would be pointless downloading because he would need to have it also.. Does anyone know of any way i can make cheap calls to a spanish mobile? thanks

Even though he doesn't have his own computer you shouldn't discount Skype immediately.

Part 1: As you live in Ireland you can get a Skype mobile phone on the Three network, which means you will always be a free call away for him.

Part 2: He can either call you as and when he can get access to a Skype enabled computer. Or he can buy a Skype cordless landline handset to connect at home.

He may also be able to download Skype to his mobile but, unlike at your end with a Three/Skype phone, it may incure data charges - he'd have to check with his Spanish mobile provider.

if you have skype, it is still cheaper to phone him if he is on a landline.he should get a computer ASAP

phonecards thats the only thing I know of but you and your boyfriend can get a sony mylo and both of yaou can talk like that through skype but its not a cellphone it runs off of wifi

There are these phone cards you can buy REAL cheap at alot of stores, gas stasions and whatnot. Just ask for "calling cards" and all they are is you just scratch the back off of the card and it gives you a number you have to dial from your phone and then your boyfriends phone number, it will come out to be a few cents a minute compared to the full dollars you might pay by calling without using a phone card.
