  1. You should do, depends on the post service in Ireland.

  2. We don't have postcodes in the Republic unless you are living in Northern Ireland.  If the postal service has the town name and your house number there is a chance they will find you.  They did say town and not city, so there is a slight chance.  I am presuming, but did your friend remember your name.  And there is no such country as Southern Ireland, it's the Republic of Ireland.

  3. as long as the post code is on it it will be fine

if they can deliver the one in the link im sure yours wont be a problem

  4. Clearly I am the only one to read your question properly. A house number WITHOUT street is hopeless in southern Ireland. Imagine Mrs Smith House No 5 Dublin ! Or Mrs Smith House No 2 Cork.!

  5. county or country?

as there are no post codes in Ireland Im not sur your other answer is correct. its a bit pot luck. Also did she use correct stamp it has to be international not first class. Hope it arrives!

  6. Yes, I'd say you will. Post office sorting workers generally have to have a good sense of geography and know where all the towns are. I once received a letter which had my surname wrong, didn't include the name of my house or village, just a nearby town and no county (e.g. Priscilla Luck, Clonmel). It took about 2 extra days, but it got there. It must have taken some creative thinking, but that's what you need in a country with no post codes. I think the posties view it as a challenge!

  7. With the town and postcode you should receive it.
