  1. Where do you actually work?  If your workplace is in KY but your employer is headquartered in OH, then you'd get the KY minimum, which goes to 6.55 in July.  If your physical workplace in in OH, you should be getting the higher OH minimum already, regardless of where you live.

  2. You live in Kentucky, but are you working in Kentucky?  The minimum you can be paid is $6.55/hr. if you work in Kentucky.  as it is the states minimum wage. Your employer would not have to pay you Ohio's minimum of $7.00/hr. if you did not work in Ohio.  Hope that makes sense!

  3. hah!

    in canada its better..

    like 8.50

    probably the stupid dollar

  4. you will recieve the minimum wage for the state the job is in. If Ohio minimum wage is 6.55 then that's what you will get.

  5. yes, it is a federal raise not local

  6. If minimum wage was $6.55 in my state I would move. We are ready to enact $8.25. But don't come here, we don't have enough jobs.

  7. You will get minimun wage for the state of Kentucky, where you work.  I am from KY too and minimun wage is $5.85 an hour.

  8. my friend minimum wage in ohio is 7.00 and thy have to pay you that

  9. If that is the federal minimum wage, you will get that no matter what state you work in.  If you work in Ohio and they have a state minimum wage about the federal, then you will get that state's minimum wage.

Where you work, not where you live, determines the minimum wage.  So even if Kentucky has a higher minimum wage, you would not get that.
