  1. In case you don't already know this, there isn't some school or single place for you to go to get 'home schooling books'. Parents are allowed to use whichever resources they wish. These may be homeschooling-specific texts, or they may be just regular books or something else. Parents need to decide what they will use. There are tons and tons and tons of companies out there catering to homeschoolers, plus many other companies homeschoolers regularly purchase from.

My suggestion: get connected with a homeschooling group in your area or something specific to homeschooling for high school--you'll likely find something in Yahoo Groups--and find out about what people use. Pick from their recommendations to get yourself going.

  2. I don't know what state Marion is in, but try google.com.

Type in "Your State, Homeschool".  You should get plenty of links.

  3. You could try Saxon.  We use them for their maths and sciences, and they are very good at explaining all of the concepts in great detail.  I haven't had much experience with their reading or other course work, but if their math books are any indication, I am sure they would be good as well.

    See their site at http://saxonpublishers.harcourtachieve.c...

  4. We're homeschooling for the first time this year and my son is in the 11th grade. I read books on homeschooling from the library, talked to other homeschooling parents, and checked out online info. I was able to get most of our texts on eBay. In fact, I've only bought a couple new books, a grammar text from A Beka and a history reference book from Amazon. My best to you*
