I live in nevada my green card expired how long will it take?

for me to submit a greencard renewal form and then recieve my greencard? i heard it took 5 months is that true or could it be longer or less jus curious

averaging 6-9 months again, best to e-file at www.uscis.gov with form I-90. but you can send it my regular mail to los angeles, ca.  once filed and if you have to travel out of u.s. you can take your receipt and passport to the local immigration office for a temporary endorsement that will allow you to return.

You should leave the country and reapply for residency.
