  1. Hi Sahar4Ever! Congratulations. :-)

Please note that some airlines do not allow newborns to fly. If you have a certain airline in mind that you would like to take, please start checking their age requirements immediately so that you will have options for other carriers in your area.

Also, a passport is unnecessary for you and your baby for flights starting and ending (ie. CA to NY) in the United States.

You only need a passport if you do not have a license or it was physically taken away for an motor vehicle infraction by the courts.

If you really want to get a passport to get thru security faster like what I do, you can obtain one in less that 2 weeks but you will have to make an appointment at a passport agency and say (which I do not recomend) you are going to travel out of the United States and show proof of travel as well.

    Hope that helps.

  2. Neither your baby or you, or anyone else needs a passport to travel by any means within the U.S.  Passports are for international travel only.  Check with your pediatrician about when your baby will be ready to travel.
