I live in south Florida and need to know were to buy Methanol?

im try to make an experiment with making biodiesel but cant find a place out here were they sell in in a large quantities at least to fill my truck..... please help

Go to a local racetrack and ask the drivers or mechanics where they get theirs.

If you're looking for Methanol as a fuel, it is used in some racing leagues.  You can usually buy 5 gallon to 55 gallon containers at race track fuel stations (fuel stations at racing tracks, not the brand).

A chemical supply company would also be a good bet (industrial supplier better than getting hosed by lab supplier).

Or just read the link below.  This talks about how a biodiesel maker gets his methanol.  And something I didn't realize; the meth-heads use it to make methamphetamine.  Considering that, I'm surprised one can still even buy methanol in the US.  Just about everything else that can be used to make meth has been heavily restricted or outlawed.
