I live in south florida, and am in need of suggestions as to where to go if I want to get all dressed up.?

Looking for the atypical answers. Not clubs, bars, concerts, etc. Any ideas?

Depends on which coast in South Florida.......If you're on the Atlantic side, anyplace in South Beach along the A1 hwy will do for dressing up. If you really want to spend the bucks.........Downtown Miami has an abundance of places. Find a parking garage and just walk. I'm sure you'd find something to your liking.

I completely disagree with ilene m. Miami is the place to dress. May I suggest a show at the theater. I visit to MoCa (museum of contemporary art). While you are in the area, go to a great retsuarant spot- Vicky's.

The thing is...sadly in south florida there aren't many places where dressing up is a must.  You can dress up and and not look out of place any where on Las Olas.  Chima's is one of my favorites.  It is a Brazilian Steakhouse...where the gaucho's bring you different cuts of meats, ect.  It is the best one I have been to and people dress up to go there.  Brooks in Deerfield is definitely a dress up kinda place.  The food is awesome!

why everyone picks a very overrated south beach is beyond me...the resturants are over priced and the food isn't that great.  People in FL don't "dress" for dinner like they do in places like Chicago and NY
