Question:

I live in spain and I have a pet chipmunk , I would like to move back to America and take her along. Can I ??

I dont seem to find much on web sites for this type of pet?? And calling has gotten me passed around and around. Could anyone let me know any info on moving pet chipmunks or such ....many thanks :)

  1. contact your airline

    you can take your chipmunk i think but you would have to check with the airline on there animal carrying polices

    you would need a special strong cage to go in the hold

    it would cost extra but for info ring up the airline or contact them definitely

NO, you would not be able to bring along the chipmunk.  This animal is indigenous to North America and introducing a different species would have to go through the proper channels.  It would have to be in quarantine for a period, to ensure that it was not carrying any disease that could be transmitted to the chipmunks in North America.  Better you catch one here when you arrive, in fact, you can have the entire FAMILY that is currently living under my front porch.
