i live in st.louis,mo and me and my friends are hearing a strange ringing noise coming from the backyard [[or farther]] and we're really freaked out. ryan thinks its aliens. what is it???!

First of all, why would you think anyone here would have any idea what it is?

Secondly, why in the world would you immediately rush to the least likely explanation possible?

Third, why don't you just go outside and look for it?  Then you might find out what it is.  Somebody might have dropped their cell phone.
