I live in the Denver-Metro area and want to take a road-trip for $300...?

I have 3-4 days and $300 to include hotel, gas, food, etc. But will also have a friend with me that would split everything like gas and hotel 50/50. Where is a good place to go?

Have you been to Rocky Mountain National park? I live in Loveland and it is always new to us each time we visit. It's getting into the time when the elk will be going into the rutting season. There are places to stay in Estes and if your going in the fall the tourist rates are lowered.

It's just a thought.

Have you ever heard of the Million Dollar Highway? Its in the southwest corner of the state First go to durango for some great shopping better than your usual tourist fare at least. next follow U S 550 to the town of Ouray very curvy road to get there there were about 6 Hotels to choose from and its a good place to 4 wheel drive or just relax its roughly 300 to 350 miles from denverother attractions in the area include frisco a center for Mountain biking and Breckenridge a 4 season resort area.
