  1. Have it shipped out by a good courier! Phone around and i'm sure you will get a good price!

  2. Why Don´t you go to the Ikea in Barcelona and Madrid. It will be much cheaper to get it delivered to your home in la costa Blanca..

    Take care..

    Bcn_mimosa from Barcelona

  3. Hi,

there is an IKEA in Seville and so probably other Spanish cities too. So you're probably best off buying it there (or ordering from the Spanish online site) and saving money on the delivery.

  4. Don't...The removal cost to Spain would probably be almost the price of the IKEA furniture...

You have 2 IKEA centers in Barcelona, 2 in Madrid and 1 in Murcia, figure out which is closest to your home......buy things there and then have them delivered!(Or rent a van and do it yourself!)

  5. buy it in iKEA seville.

    no, actually KB is right

  6. Why on earth didn't you buy it from one of the Spanish shops they have ??

  7. Just buy new furniture, it's from IKEA so it probably cost about £3 and is called something like Pollop.

  8. The following page lists many removals companies that operate between Spain and the UK, I hope they can help you

    http://www.ambientjobs.com/removals.php

  9. Go on...there's something special about customs and IKEA furniture isn't there ? Well there must be, otherwise you wouldn't have mentioned it by brand name would you ? Do you feel a need and desire to be identified as an IKEA type person ? IKEA people of the world unite...you have nothing to lose but your brand name.

I think you rent a 20' or a 40' container and collect it from the harbour in Alicante. A forwarding agent will then arrange delivery to you house.

PS : They have IKEA in Spain too.

  10. if you are on the south costa blanca go to torrevieja.co.uk and ask on there, or costa blanca newspaper has a website and there is a bloke who does runs to Ikea in Murcia, he delivers good i think.

  11. lots of good info already given. Except for one thing. I think a lot of people are missing the fact that you have already bought your stuff from Ikea in the UK. In that case the way to find the cheapest delivery from Uk to Costa Blanca is in the English Language papers on the Costa Blanca rather then paper or yellow pages in the UK. Thing is, it's only Ikea stuff, so you don't need an expensive high class remover. The English papers are full of movers going back and forth, small guys with one van or truck etc. I had my home shipped over for one third of the price offered by removers I found in the UK. And they did a good job. Costa Blanca News. Think Spain, Round Town News. They all have websites as well, but the papers are better. Hope that helps. Hard to believe that Ikea chose to open in Murcia and not Valencia or Alicante, but they did. Sure they will be on the CB soon though. If that's the stuff you want to put in your home?

  12. Ikea have several branches in Spain, but I'm not sure they deliver. Try their website - this is the specific page for the one in Murcia: http://www.ikea.com/webapp/wcs/stores/se...

If you want delivery, several british concerns do shopping runs in coaches and vans, so you could arrange a pick-up. Check out the Costa Blanca News for info on these: http://www.costablanca-news.com/

    Good luck

  13. Good luck getting Ikea to deliver anything anywhere, let alone Spain.

  14. Buy it in Spain.

Have a look at 'www.ikea.es' for you nearest store (murcia probably) and hire a van.

  15. There are a number of people in Spain that do the IKEA run once or so a month.

Look either on the Internet or the local papers (Brit ex pat)

I saw this service in Mercia and it was well subscribed.

  16. Not sure from your question if you've already ordered your furniture in the UK. If so it'll cost a fortune to get IKEA to deliver it (even if they can do it from a UK store). Couple of alternatives - get it delivered to your UK address then arrange for a furniture remover to take it to Spain for you -still expensive

If you've not ordered it go to IKEA in Murcia

I was in the store last week. Excellent range of products and the prices are comparable with UK prices. Journey time from El Altet approx 45 minutes.
