I have tried DEWA (Dubai Electric Water Administration)

Careerbuilder, Bayt.com, and other Middle Eastern job sites

for my field..electrical engineering. But so far I don't even get a response. I get on careerbuilder and go for a job in the US today, and I will have someone calling me by Wednesday for an interview. Dubai is building their city right now, so there must be lots of work for engineers. Have I missed an outlet somewhere?

  1. try mawaride. bayt.com should have helped .  another channel is to try monster. also try indian recruitment companies  like jerry varghese. if you have time use google to search for jobs in your job category which will return website addresses. use those addresses and  apply .

Naukri, monster and timesjobs have a service where for a payment they will send ur resume to about 1000 middle east recruiters .

    http://www.naukri.com/resume/reservices....

    http://www.timesjobs.com/candidate/resum...

this will help you for sure . it helped me .   good luck. and send me chocolates from dubai when u reach there ....

    This should click.

  2. ......you are already in US mate, you dont need to go for work for another country unless you're not american citizen....

  3. Sometimes its not what you know, but who you know that gets you that special job.  Good luck.

  4. i live in Dubai, believe you'll have to come here first, websites won't work

  5. Other useful website:

    www.monstergulf.com

    www.gulftalent.com

www.gulfnews.com and then search for the "job section"

    good luck

  6. Get online and find out who the builders are and then get on their website and send your cv directly to them.  $55k wont give you a good living in Dubai though, the rent alone will kill ya.  Saying this, you will probably be offered more then $55k.  Good Luck!

  7. b a pimp

  8. There are a lot of opportunities in Dubai right now - Abu Dhabi is the capital of the Emirates and has so many buildings scheduled to be built that it will overtake Dubai in the long term.  Rents here are outragous.  My appartment is small, but I know people who spend the equivalent of 40 to 50 thousand US dollars per year renting a house.

If you have skills that are in demand, you can expect a good salary, if not, you can come anyway and develop you career.  The biggest projects in the world are here, and if you stay long enough, you will eventually get a big sallary.

I advise you to keep trying the recruiters and consider going somewhere else like Bahrain, Abu Dhabi, Qatar, Kuwait - they are all doing well because of the rediculous prices they are getting for Oil.
