  1. As a young person who would need to WORK in Mexico...it is UNWISE for you to move to Mexico.  You cannot work in Mexico without a work visa...and to get a work visa you must first find an employer who will hire you and write a letter to immigration stating he cannot find a Mexican national to fill that job. He must sponsor your work visa, then your work visa is specifically tied to THAT job.  Jobs, even professional jobs, pay a fraction of what they pay in the U.S.  You would barely make enough to live on, let alone be contributing to your own retirement plan...that's the only way you would have one if you worked in Mexico.  Unless you are retiring with a pension, or are wealthy and do not need to work...moving to Mexico is nearly impossible.  Better to work in the states, make money, save up, visit Mexico whenever you can, and plan for retirement.

  2. THE BEST WAY, IS TO GET A JOOB FROM A US COMPANY, SO YOU CAN GET A WORKING VISA, NEED TO KNOW SPANISH, I LIVED IN PUERTO VALLARTA HAD A GREAT EXPIRIENCE, MET MANY NICE GUYS, MARRIED A RICH MEXICAN, I HAVE CHOFER MAIDS,COOK, GO TO ACAPULCO, OR OAXACA HUATULCO, NICE GUYS WITH GOOD MONEY, I LIVE IN HEAVEN

  3. There are jobs offered to PhD holders in many universities, but I 'm afraid you don't have the required qualifications to fill that potistions.. YOU SHOULD TRY seeking job as a phychology teacher, there are some Universities who hire international teachers you just need to have luck.

IN SAN MIGUEL ALLENDE there is a huge expat community  you can work under the table and provide counseling to them and their children ...  there are always jobs for english speakers.

You can also GET A JOB AS A private english teacher and work as a freelance if you want to make some money, that could be an option in the short run while you are settling down on mexico.

There are a lot of options, remember there is a huge MALE marriage squeeze in the mexican upper middle class, so finding a succesul husband is very easy, the odds favour you and it's a new trend nowadays.

There are a lot of american young women who have adopted mexico as a second home,

they usually come from Chicago, tennesee, also Canadians from Vancouver, I think something is happening in the marriage market in those PLACES, something strong enough to encourage young women to flee and seek for greener pastures.....  but if are a young women willing to have a family , you are in the right path to happiness.

I found some articles on the web, I hope you find them useful.

    see you!.
