I live in the state of MD. A collection agency bought my acct. I went to court and they want to garnish my pay

I dont know who this collecton agency is. I just got back from vacation and recieved papers from my payroll department about my wagers being garnish. what can i do now?

You lost your case on this. They now have a judgment against you.

It sounds like you went to court with the first agency and won, then you have a second one garnishing your wages.

Just because you might have fought against one agency and won, doesn't preclude another agency from trying to collect (unless your case was dismissed with prejudice, which is highly complicated and probably doesn't apply in your circumstances anyway).

It might be worthwhile for you to go speak to an attorney if the second agency never served you with papers. You might be able to set aside the judgement...but don't get your hopes up.

Nothing.  If they won in court,, they can collect.

You say that you wnet to court and lost, then you claim you don't know who these people are.  I don't understand.  Either you went to court with them and lost, or you didn't.  Which is it?
