I live in the suburbs of illinois, how do i find a local chess tournament at 14?

I wanna do this, so I could become a champion at chess. I've always been good at it, and i usually win. but now i wanna take it locally.

Go to:

www.uschess.org

and look under tournaments listings by state for your state.  Most chess in your state is in Chicago, but smaller events are sprinkled all over.

Chess often appears to be g*y or silly to the incredibly stupid.  It is actually a valuable discipline that will sharpen your mind.
