  1. Nah, don't think you have to worry about that, if you had done jail time for assault or armed robbery they'd bother.  Any doubts phone the embassy, but I warn you, be honest on the forms you submit , as if they (Immigration) ask you as you come thru customs just tell them as it may be on a computer somewhere.  You'll be fine!  They'll be more worried about finding fruit or meat in peoples bags, they spin out as we don't have foot & mouth over here.  Happy Travelling!

  2. no!

  3. If you lie and say you do not have the conviction than you will be in trouble. If you are honest and admit that you made a mistake ten years ago than no one will care about a old driving infringement. So no it won't make any difference to your visa

  4. You won't have a problem with driving convictions. You do need to meet character requirements but they relate to having a substantial criminal record (12 months or more imprisonment etc). See http://www.immi.gov.au/media/fact-sheets... for full info on character requirements.

  5. In Australia, after 10 years you can apply to have it declared a "spent conviction" which means you don't have to declare it anymore.

You probably have something like that in the UK. So apply to have it "spent" and it will no longer be something you have to tell anyone about.

Even if you don't have it "spent" it's not serious enough for immigration to reject you as one of the above said

  6. If you have a driving conviction from the U.K. and you try to enter Australia, you will immediately be put in jail, and probably left to rot for a few years.Don't think that Interpoll aren't on to criminals like yourself, they'll get you all in the end.
